Welcome to ConnectorGames. A simple card game that makes learning easier. Think flash cards with a twist.
Learn while you play!
Whether we realize it or not, we rely on many different life skills to get us through situations and the day. Playing games allows us to develop and improve various skills.
Whether we are communicating with others, planning our day, adapting to changes in plans, making plans, deciding on a route to travel or a way to complete a task, remembering what’s on your to do list or concentrating on a certain task. Board games, in one way or another address these skills in a fun and engaging way.
Think flash cards with a Twist.
The initial idea of this came from personal experiences where I learnt that the best way for me to learn was through storytelling and listening to others.
I remember having a Classics exam and I just couldn’t remember any of it. Before the exam, I sat with my friends and listened while they tested each other. End result – I got one of the highest grades in the school year.
Around that time I started to learn French and would get my verbs wrong. I realized that by listening to the way a word was used in a sentence, would tell me instantly if that word was understood or not. I used this experience later on in my teaching by getting my students to put the vocabulary taught into sentences based around a scenario. This challenged the student to look for connections. It also helped others listening to see if the word was right or not and learn from it passively. From there ConnectorGames was born and from those activities and a little bit of gamification we now have a card game platform. Keep checking back as we bring out more topics and titles.

We are proud to announce that we were one of the sponsors for the inaugural Idaho Business Educators Financial Literacy Challenge. The aim is to improve the financial literacy rates of students in Idaho. Students competed in a competition where they had to play a Budgeting and Stock Market game. The outcome, learning to save first, raise their credit score, build their net worth and savings, while trying to grow their money.
We would love to hear any feedback that you may have about our games, suggestions of new games and perhaps even a testimonial.
